Apple Rhubarb Custard Crumble

12 cooking apples.
6 rhubarb sticks.
2 tablespoons sugar.
Squeeze of lemon juice.
Sprinkle of cinnamon.
150g pre-made custard or cream patissiere.
75g rolled oats.
25g flaked almonds.


Peel & core apples & slice or cube.
Wash & skin rhubarb & cut into 3cm cubes.
Stew apple and rhubarb in a little water with lemon, sugar & cinnamon until soft.
Place in baking dish & add custard & top with a layer of oats & almonds.
Brown in 200 deg C oven for approx 10 minutes.
Serve hot with cream or ice cream if desired.
