General Description:

Also known as a wax apple or bell apple.
Tropical fruit shaped similar to a small bell or small pear with red coloured skin.
Flesh has a crunchy texture, is sweet and very juicy, the juice is actually purple.
Generally the paler or darker the coloured bells have a sweeter flavour.


Selection:

Choose bell fruits that are a light or dark red with their bottom segments closed up.
