General Description:

Small pear-shaped with rounded bottom & pointed top.
Very sweet, rich taste - turn purple when ripe.
Figs must be picked ripe from the trees as they do not ripen well once picked.


Selection:

You should choose figs that are clean, dry and have smooth unbroken skin.
A good fig will be slightly soft to touch but not mushy.
Avoid figs that have started to loose their shape.
Also avoid very firm figs, as they will not ripen.
