There are two main varieties of Kiwifruit - Green & Gold.
Most popular Green Kiwi variety has brown fuzzy skin containing distinctive green flesh.
Both varieties have tiny edible purplish seeds surrounding a white core.
Kiwis can be eaten raw or cooked.
Choose semi-firm, unblemished kiwis with uniform skin.
Avoid Kiwis that feel mushy as they are past their prime.

Store unripe kiwis at room temperature until the skin indents slightly when gentle pressure is applied.
To speed ripening you can place your kiwis in a paper bag with an apple or banana, or in a bowl to ripen by itself.
