General Description:
Spherical shaped fruit approx 5cm in diameter.
Translucent golden flesh, jelly like and watery.
Contains small edible black seeds.
Sweet Flavour.
Popular alongside deserts.
Selection:
Ideally try and choose large, heavy, firm passionfruit.
When ripe, the passionfruit has a wrinkled, dimpled, deep purple skin.
Wrinkling is actually due to moisture loss during ripening - it may be large enough to cause the shrivelling, however this does not effect the edible portion.
