Round and juicy fruit covered with a yellowish-red velvety textured skin.
Under the skin is usually a yellow or whitish flesh containing a rough stone.
Selection:
Choose peaches that are firm to the touch, but whose flesh will yield with gentle pressure.
Also look for unblemished and bruise free peaches with a warm, fragrant smell.
Avoid those which appear green or are very hard.
