Plums grow in clusters, have smooth, deep coloured skin and a smooth centre pit.
Their shape can range from oval to round.
Sizes range from 2.5 to 7.5 cm in diameter.
Colours vary depending on variety - it can be yellow, green, red, purple, indigo blue and many colours in between.
Selection:
Select unwrinkled plums with smooth blemish free skins.
Avoid those with soft spots or discolourations.
The grayish sheen on plums is natural and does not effect the quality.
