General Description:

Egg shaped fruit also known as a tree tomato.
Size ranges from 2 to 8 cm in length.
On the outside is a tough bitter skin that ranges in colour from glossy red to purple, amber or yellow.
Under the skin you'll find a sour flavour packed golden pink flesh around many seeds.


Selection:

Select firm unblemished tamarillos that feel heavy for their size.
Once ripe they will have a fragrant scent and will yield slightly to gentle pressure.

Source of Vitamins - A, B6, C and E, rich in Iron and Potassium.

Storage & Handling Information:

Once ripened at you can store them in the fridge for up to 4 days.
